Class of 2023 Celebration High School: Isabella DeTorres

Isabella has volunteered quite a bit throughout her high school career, and has stated why she is so motivated when it comes to giving back to her community. As a Celebration Foundation scholarship recipient, here's what she had to say:

"Volunteering is a living reminder that there are kind people out there that need help sometimes, and the smallest gesture can make a big difference in someone's life. I am so grateful for the opportunities I have had to do so much volunteer work. It has really made an impact on me, and I believe this kind of work, helping others, will always be a part of my life."

After high school, Isabella plans on attending the University of Central Florida to major in criminal profiling and detective work. After her time at UCF, she hopes to join a police academy or local police force to eventually become a detective. Cheers to the graduate, Isabella DeTorres, for making our community a better place!

The Celebration High School Fine and Performing Arts Department Receives A Community Grant!

Throughout the duration of the Celebration Foundation Concert Series, the Celebration High School Fire Squad - consisting of a group of hard-working, dedicated, and musically talented students - has been an invaluable extra helping hand when it comes to making sure our concerts operate smoothly. Upon helping with the Concert Series, the Fire Squad successfully raised $1,400 to donate to their school's fine and performing arts department.

Celebration Foundation's Community Grants program matched this amount raised when Celebration High School Fire Squad leader, Bobby Spina, submitted a community grant application.

On the last day of school, the Celebration Foundation paid a visit to Celebration High School to present a check of $2,800 to the Fine and Performing Arts Department. This was all thanks to the combined effort of multiple students spending many hours volunteering their time with us.

We hope that this Community Grant helps advance the ongoing commitment of providing an unmatched education to students involved in the fine and performing arts.

 This is community.
